Diablo 3 Blue Posts » Game won't update after system restore
| Hello there ladies and gents, as the title says, i had some Windows trouble and i had to do a system restore to 12/10/10, so the game reverted to patch 1.0.4, and now it won't update to the latest version. I did not find any options to update manually, and when the i try to log in and let the game update automatically, it just sits there loading, doing nothing. 1 hour has passed and still nothing. The update was downloaded in about 10 minutes max the last time so no, it can't take that long. Which means the updater is broken. Hewp pwease. EDIT: Ctrl+Alt+Del'ing out allowed me to see an error pop-up, but i couldn't see what it said, it didn't let me read it. I tried three times already. I believe this confirms that the updater is really broken. FIX your stuff Blizzard. |
| Hmm. Rather than going through a potentially convoluted troubleshooting investigation MartinHUN, I would recommend simply uninstalling and reinstalling the game. However, before doing that, try this: 1. Stop the installation process if it’s still running. 2. Wait for at least one minute. Ensure that Agent.exe no longer appears in the Processes tab of your Task Manager. 3. Restart the installation. If that does not resolve the issue, delete the Battle.net folder, which can be found here: [Windows XP] C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Battle.net [Windows Vista/7] C:\ProgramData\Battle.net |
