| With the issues regarding fps drops, lag, micro stutter or w/e you wanna call it this game is virtually unplayable. The question is obviously rhetorical, but alot of ppl are struggling with these issues and they seem to have arrived with the 1.0.4 and 1.0.5 patch. I myself, and many other ppl on these boards and other forums, are having a hard time playing the game and I for one am thoroughly amazed that nothing, or very little, is done by Blizzard to resolve, or even minimize, these issues. I am in fact very disappointed. I have been playing all Blizzard-titles (i think) from The Lost Vikings over to Diablo (I, II and III) and many other titles. But the lag of interest from Blizzard P-O-V to help gamers with the issues regarding the latest installment of Diablo has me thinking that I wont support Blizzard in the future. This is not meant to be a thread about me whining or about me rageing but I just want to express my thought about Blizzards helpfulness in this matter. Fair to say that I am flabbergasted... Lastly, to those who care or a curious, my issue is that my FPS is at 60, but as soon as I encounter a monster it drops and if there is a group it drops all the way to zero. Even though I am in town I get freezes for a second or two and suddenly the game speeds up to catch up with my actions. And no, nothing helps. I turned all video options to minimum/off, edited D3prefs.txt (i think its called), tried with and w/o vsync, fullscreen/windowed, installed programs that would maximize my performance. And probably other things i can't remember. |
