| I've read Blizzard's notes on the infernal machine, and realize that each MP provides an extra 10% chance at a key. But there is no mention of Magic Find. Does anyone know if MF positively effects key drop rates? And please mention where you got your information from :) Thanks! |

Monster Power isn't required. At MP0, the drop rate for both the keys and organ pieces is 5%. At MP1, that chance increases to 10%, at MP2 it's 20%, and so on until MP10 (which grants a 100% drop chance for those items). | ||||

Just in general, it's good practice to review all the blue responses in a thread before asking a follow-up question, because your question may have already been answered (and, hey, you might even find out some answers to questions to you didn't even know you had). For this one the answer is indeed "Yes", and yes you and many other Blizzard representatives stated that. Its actually easier to type 3 letters than looking for the link, copy and pasting down. You are doing it as a tantrum act. You should just answer the question, again, nicely: YOU ARE GETTING PAID FOR THIS. Both questions were addressed by the response I linked. Since a full five stacks of NV are required in order for the keys and organs pieces to be eligible to drop in the first place, any other stack count you have below that doesn't really matter. So, NV stacks only "count" towards key and organ drop rates in so far as you need a full five in order for those items to drop at all. From there, you can use Monster Power to boost up your chances, but MP is the only thing that will affect the drop rates of the Infernal Machine components.
