| Notice people like to exaggerate on what MP level they can farm. Was in a public game yesterday clearing content for my WD, when one dude starts whining of running in mp0. Goes on to brag that he can "easily" farm mp4. I tell him that I like to run mp2 with my Barb, and he says lets do mp4 ... I convince him to do mp2, and invite one other guy from public to do the run. Pretty soon, I realize that the "whiner" who supposedly could "easily" farm mp4 is dying 2-5 times per elite kill and is basically one-shotted by anything not coloured white (2 shots by trash mobs). When I mention this in game, he blames it on Act 2 being "gimmicky" and suggests running Act 3 mp2 ... lol Anyways, stick it out till we clear VoA, then his buddy joins game. It becomes clear that they run together a lot. His buddy, btw, is like P50 decked in set gear, easily rocking 100k dps. Maybe it's my experience from playing a bit hardcore mode, but I really, really hate dying... Moral of the story - if you can't run it solo, you shouldn't brag (it makes for awkward moments when someone invites you to their mpX game) |
| Before I tested Monster Power on the PTR, I knew I was going to be able to handle Monster Power 3 or 4 at the most. As soon as that first MP4 normal monster took an exhausting amount of time to kill, though, I realized my tank-y gear set was going to need some adjustment before I could really farm anything past MP1 on my own. And that’s fine by me. I can kill things on MP4 right now just fine, but it’s a slow and steady process and I personally prefer being efficient. No shame in that! | ||||
