What spirit generator do you consider to be..
#1 Posted 26 February 2012 - 11:16 AM By
I consider Crippling wave the best for tanky with the runestone that makes them deal 10% less damage
I would follow this up with Fist of thunder since it is quick(even says in tooltip) with the rune adding 16% dodge.
The reason for this combo is or mostly why i picked fist of thunder is cause it doesnt require u to do three strikes from what ive read to get the 16% dodge effect where in crippling wave to get the 20% less AS u have to hit the full combo onto the enemies.
post ur favorite set or single spirit generator and most importantly WHY you consider them to be the best

Sweeping Wind with Blade storm rune.
or maybe a Exploding Palm with Strong Spirit rune for extra spirit.

again, this could all be subject to change upon playing ... which is one of the things i love about the skill system (that everyone complains about) I want to experiment with everything before i make my final choices...
I named him Waggleton P. Tallylicker
... I never got the chance to tell him
... he will be remembered.

actually I've always been pro-monk, to the extent I was talking about how cool a shaolin monk would be before D3 was announced ... even if he's not the strongest character, though he might be (slightly worried about single target stuff), so not say the new hammerdin of D3, then I'll still play with him for style's sake ...

For damage i find the exploding palm interesting like the rest here in this topic atleast-.-
Cause of the 30% of the enemies max hp as damage. Could be quite alot when focusing down the big fellah.

I've been quite intrigued that a few people want to go that way ... the last thing that the monk screams to me when i think bout him is tank ... looking at some of the options you could put in your build that give you a break from damage and heal and things I can see how it's definitely valid ... but I guess I'm not going to be so specific with mine, I'll make my guy as durable as possible but pick the skills I like and think will help me support my play style ...
as you said, if we're talking about tanking here then yeah fists of thunder with lightening flash, deadly reach with keen eye (for the armour - though im not a fan of this one because i expect enemies to be close enough to hit anyway and not necessarily in a straight line) or crippling wave with concussion would be the obvious picks...

Picking the skills that u like is what is going to make ur monk urs and it all comes down to what playstyle u prefer to play and how to do it.
(Never really likes deadly reach=S)
Ps: it seems like ur always condescending cause of ur avatar picture xD
