What Belongs In Player vs Player
- Discussion topics related to the player versus player aspects of Diablo 3
Player vs Player Rules
No FlamingThis is a board where people are allowed to voice their own opinion on the topic, you are more than welcome to debate their points but do not insult each other.
No Swearing
Some swearing is fine as Diablo 3 is a "M" rated game. However, there is a line and if every other word you use is swear word or you are using swear words to verbally harass another member you will be punished.
No Spamming
Don't reply to topics with replies that have nothing to do with the original posts topic or add nothing to the overall discussion of the topic. Replies that are 2 - 3 words are typically considered spam, please put some thought into your reply, explain why you feel a particular way about your reply. There may be a few occasional topics where we will allow 2 - 3 word replies but please try to explain your reasoning.
Use the Search Feature Before Posting
Please use the Search feature before you post a topic to make sure that your topic doesn't already exist. If one already exists we don't need two of them on the forums. Instead just voice your opinion in the already existing topic.
Don't Act as a Moderator
Posting that someone has broken a rule doesn't really do much, sure it lets the user know what they have done wrong but Moderators and Community Leaders won't get the message that someone has broken a rule if you just post a reply. Instead please use the Report button when you hover over the topic you'll see it appear. That way Moderators and Community Leaders will be notified of the post. When we act on a post that has broken a rule we end up stating why the topic was closed, moved, etc, so you don't have to tell them.
Use Proper English
Please attempt to use proper English grammar and spelling when posting, especially for the original post, it makes topics much easier to read and is more likely to attract intelligent discussion. If people don't understand your post or have to sit there trying to decipher it they're most likely not going to reply.
Note: We know, especially during the contest, that there will be some people that don't speak English as their first language, so we won't be super strict on this rule during the contest, but if it's next to impossible to figure out what you're saying we'll close your topic.
No Double Post
Don't post multiple replies or threads in a row. If you have replied to a question and realized you left information out and no one else has replied since you posted yours, do not just post another reply so there are two replies in a row from you, use the Edit button and edit your reply.
If you have accidentally made a double post because you pressed the Post button multiple times due to server lag or for what ever reason, please report your duplicate post instead of editing it out saying, "Sorry double post" or something like that. It's much easier for us to deal with your double post if you use the Report feature to report it.
Punishments
Breaking any of these rules can result in anything ranging from a verbal warning to a suspension or even a ban. It depends how many times you've broken our rules in the past and the severity of the infraction.
