I've always planned to build a new comp for Diablo 3, and in light of getting a beta key, I've reached that time :)

Here is my build, and it prompted me to ask everyone what their build is.  Also, I've only ordered the PSU so far, so feel free to critique.  I have a monitor, and will be getting Windows 7 Professional x64 for free through my school :)

That's a solid rig rwhite, I like it, although I prefer Asus mobos. Did you consider other costs such as CD drives, operating system, etc or you got that covered?

As for hpnot... jesus christ... your CPU a lone costs what I paid for my rig. 1TB of SSD as well? Two 6990? You love overkill don't you haha. I'm curious, why don't you have a triple monitor set up?

My rig

i7 2600k 3.4Ghz (Have a 4.5 Ghz O.C. setup ready but I don't do anything demanding that needs the extra clock speeds yet)
Noctua DH14 CPU cooler
AMD 6970
8GB Patriot ram
1TB 7200rpm HD
Coolermaster Haf932 full tower case
1000W Rosewill 80 plus PSU

Yea, my one concern about this build has been the ASRock mobo.  I get mixed reviews; somewhat bad reviews from people who used them about 5 years ago when they were still young, and good reviews from recent purchasers.  I'm getting the impression that they've grown a lot, and are now putting out quality boards.  In 2011 they were the third most purchased mobo on the market, beating out MSI with 8 million sells.  This, of course, doesn't come close to Asus 21 million sells or Gigabytes 18 million.  I'm trying to stay within that price range for my mobo, so if you recommend an Asus I'll definitely looking into it.  Looking for PCIe 3.0, Z68 chipset, and don't plan on doing SLI/Crossfire.

As far as other stuff, I have a CD drive, monitor, and am getting a Windows 7 Professional x64 copy from my alma mater for free :)

CPU: Core i5 2500K

Cooler: Corsair H100
Mobo: MSI P67A-GD65
Memory: 8GB Corsair Dominator
Hard Drive: Corsair Force GT 60Gb, 1TB WD Caviar Green and 2 Random 500GB
Video Card: MSI N560GTX-Ti Hawk
Power Supply: Corsair HX750
Case: Corsair 650D with Mesh window

Everything still running stock right now, I got damn lazy :P Might add another 560 or just get a different card before the summer. Not to sure about the PSU holding up though, it's getting old..

If you're only going to play D3 I'd say save the money. However, if you want to keep your PC more future proof for other releases, I say good call.

I'll be playing BF3 and Skyrim (as I haven't gotten Skyrim yet), along with D3.  Also doing this for future proofing.  Yea, if I was just doing D3, it'd cut it back

Actually, scratch that.  All the 6950 2gb's are sold out everywhere, so I'll just buy the 7850 when they come out in a few weeks :)  Same price, newer architecture, and better specs.

I'll also be playing BF3 once I get all the parts in.
