Will I be able to have the same name as someone that plays diablo 3?

For example, can I name my character "DemonHunter" when maybe my friend has named his character that?

dont think so... at least it wasnt an option in d2 or wow...

character names will not be unique, only you battletag+number and email



ie. that means that everyone can call their Wizard for Sorceress(as i plan to :P)

Which means Yes multiple people can ha e the same name on bnet. A full group of people named clevername ;P

Idk if you can use the same name for every character, but I am sure you can name yourself the same as any other. B)

Idk if this change is good or bad... I dont want copies of my name (if there will ever be), and I also dont know if there will be originality left.. when I see someone with a cool name I can just be a copycat and take his name just because I can.

Yeah i agree completely Tupac, i think it would have been better if you just had the option of showing your Battletag/Real ID in addition to your characters unique name.

hm, every stream ich watched there was allways displayed the battlenet name instead of the charakter name. is that normal?
