I saw the article noting that you could preorder the digital copy of D3?
I cant find it anywhere on the battle.net website. The only D3 thing I see is underneath the games I have and says coming soon and a link to the diablo III community site.

i imagine you will be order to pre-order it after the releasedate is announced

if it's not an option for some reason, a number of shops will email you the cdkey so you get it instantly without having to wait for some mailman to drag it across the continent.

The CE is going to be outrageously priced. Statue with USB stick that contains D2 + expansion, behind the scenes blu-ray video, diablo art book, diablo sound track, and in game content. I wouldn't be surprised if CE hit the $200 mark. No way in hell I'd spend that much. I would however, spend an additional $15 (from the $59.99 mark) to get my hands on those Tyrael wings for my character. I'm definately a sucker for those haha.

So I saw an advertisement that the CE is going to be $99.99. Hmm, I might actually bother to waste my money on it =P

definitely digital copy. in SC2 and WoW: Cataclysm, if i remember correctly, they do release the client to download it first before the release date, but does not yet open the server, right? so every1 can play simultaneously the moment they released the game. so yeah, pre-order is definitely a possibility, since SC2 and WoW Cata can be bought and downloaded for those who purchased the digital copy even before the release date.

look! even the WoW Annual Pass people got the D3 already!

That seems to fit in with the £70 I've seen advertised over here in Jolly ole Blighty I'm thinking that the extra cash for the upgrade is alright; I love artwork and behind the scenes stuff

Most Collectors Editions shoot for $100 bucks, save for maybe some of the really crazy stuff. I am still on the fence about it, i love this game but unless I can have the safe bet of playing when the servers unlock I am still weary.

I don't want to contend with over-zealous friends going digital and deciding to leave me behind.

The only surefire way to get it from the Blizzard store right now is if you play WoW and sign up for their ridiculous 1 year subscription contract to get a copy of D3 for free.

For the moment, -as far as I know- only the people that bought the annual pass for wow, have the license, but, like in my case even that I have the license, I don´t have access to the beta, and I can´t download it yet.

You mean that you don't get the Beta with your purchase, right? (I know the purchase doesn't exclude you from the Beta.)

If they offered a price in order to play the Beta, people would pay it and Blizzard's sales would continue to go up.

137$ here, which is still slightly more than 2x regular game, i'd much rather buy a second game and invite a friend to play with me than shell out for a stupid cape with tyraels wings, a dye, and some shit that will just take up space

Isn't it by far better to have a boxed version? Especially when it comes to such a great game
