This is a build without using the elective mode..i.e each slot is occupied by the default skill type.
So what do you ppl think???? This is my build.
The wizard is a class which was pretty OP in the beta..so decided to make a slow build when i saw a guy with temporal flux in his build

I like the idea of the arcane familiar and archon in combination with temporal flux (this is realy cool).
But I think you have too many arcane based attacks. In the end you will be spamming 1 or 2 of them to get the temporal flux effects till you wait for the archon cooldown. I also believe that If you are gonna use archon then you definatelly have to lower its extensive cooldown with critical mass, otherwise it will take ages since you get to activate it again. Arcane presence is not that much necesary since you don't have arcane power draining skills and you will be using magic missile anyway. So, you might as well put in critical mass and take out arcane presence.

But I suppose it is all about gameplay... .You never now till you try them out and see if they fit your personal play style!

i just used presence so that i could get some nifty regen...
and i might replace twister with arcane hydra...
then all i have to do is set up the familiar and hydra and kill enemies with disintegrate....
about archon...hmmm.. i kept it as a trump card against rare mobs and bosses..so i wont be using it as much and save it for special encounters

The change of arcane twister with arcane hydras is a realy good choice. Just putting some hydras out and the familiar plus your dissintegrate will be more than enough to numb most of the monsters around you. Anyway, I think that the additional 2% increase in arcane power regeneration is not that much so as to waste 1 passive skill, since your skills do not drain that much of arcane power and you have magic missiles to back it up. You can use other passives instead, like critical mass for example, which will be more effective with familiar and hydras on, making this archon even more usable!

NIce build . definitely swap twister with hydra .
Astral presence is  great passive , and it increases arc. regen for 20% and max arc. for 20%,so it could come in handy especially with archon form..I love that volatility rune in disintegrate
I would suggest using strech time rune in slow time. Without teleport in disintegrate builds , i think it is more efficient to hold your ground inside of slow time (dnno if you plan to cast it and o to the other end) and strech time affects disintegrates DPS .

i though about that...
and yeah i was having second  thoughts about twister...
about slow time...i thought that 15% more dmg kinda makes up for the AS increase

Disentegrate with volatility sounds like a good combo.

I liked magic missle too.  I had a hard time choosing between the Split rune and the Penetrating blast rune.  I thought both would be good.

My only question is will astral presence be enough arcane?  I wont know until game time.
I think it looks pretty good.  (insert smiley here with a thumbs up)

yup thats my plan..pull out the summons and sit in my bubble and use my QQ laser.....
i figured the more the merrier so i picked split on misslie...
hmm about the passive..well like u said - gotta w8 till the game is out

My opinion is if I have a skill that I don't use often, it's a wasted skill slot. Only use what you need and need only what you use. I think I'll be trying an arcane torrent build after the servers are back up. Good amount of damage, and it's basically free with AOC. Throw in a little hydra for extra slow and mabe a different elemental armor, and maybe I'll have some success..
