That's right, Diablo 3 will have an open beta this weekend from mid Friday to Monday morning! Now anybody who hasn't been able to get their hands on a beta key have the chance to try the game before it comes out. It is this weekend only though, so you'll still need a beta key if you wish to continue playing until the servers are brought down on May 1st.

Even though I already have a beta key, I'm VERY happy about this. More stress on the servers which make sure Blizzard have them ready on release day and of course everyone can experience a small piece of this great game. Good job Blizz on that call.

I started the download very early this morn as soon as i read on D3Sanc's front page
It took me about an hour to finally log in and create a character,There indeed was a lot of stress on the servers, and still a good bit just before i quit for the nite....created a new char and it timed out for awhile then got in. All in all i think Blizzard is doing a good job on this last major stress test.oh and the game looks awesome plus the gameplay is better than what i initially expected.
