Act 2 inferno cleared

Inferno act 1 clear. How to beat the butcher with roughly the same build

Post monk hotfix info.*Just added*

Build and stats for FULL HELL clear. *Just added*

(I forgot to mention this in the video but you NEED atleast 40k hp and a min of 100 life per hit, dont be afraid to lose 100-200dex for what you need) * 2hours after this video iv been gearing myself out and im now sitting at 5.5k damage 68k hp, THATS RIGHT 68000 hp :P Makes my boon of protection absorb so much damage lol

This is a quick video of what happens when you stack attack speed (not even a lot) on a monk. I basicly can spam any spell non stop no matter its spirt cost. At this attack speed you regain spirit so fast it doesnt matter.

Basicly I cant really see how I could die (other then self. Even a 50 spirit mantra can be spammed every second! No matter what build your going for having this much attack speed is just freaking amazing and should help. Enjoy!

Wait until you get the Boon of Protection rune. Life regen increased to 1,240.4 Life per second + a mystical shield for 2 seconds that absorbs up to 15% of each target's maximum Life in damage.... OP much? And yes you generate enough spirit to cast it every 2 seconds

I threw this video together in like 30sec so sorry for the 'rushed' job.

I would LOVE any advice or other tips/tricks other monks have found. Im sure my lowbie nub self is like WAY behind the trends. But at least in the partys iv been in that have other monks none seem doing this. Is there a better setup? Please let me know, because from what I can see I could get another 1.00-2.00 attack speed increase with later gear (the gear I have now sucks) so yea. This is not a brag post or anything like that, just wanted to show you something cool that I think may be a tad op, please correct me if need be.

You can see my skills in the video. The runes its kinda up to you, other then boon of protection of course. I'm using Lighting flash/Blade storm/Blazing wrath/Peaceful repose/Searing light/Boon of protection.

Added another video showing the build in action vs Belial. How long do you think this build will work. I now forsure into difficulty 3 but can it make it to inferno?

This build will make you trouble in HELL and after. I was leveling mostly in 2man party and it's hard to stay in mele range in most of the fights. Not boss fights. i'm speaking about champs and etc.

Saw the vids, agreeing with the above poster. I think you'll get by on normal fights, but boy oh boy everyone learns to kite somewhere -chuckle- nonetheless very cool. My GF wants to make a Monk or a Wizard and I mentioned this post to her.

but i do agree to some extent with the ias. I actually play the same skills but not with thunder strike. not with runes. Getting IAS to some degree is good but dont overdo it.

Build is actually working great through Hell difficulty atm. I stat'ed more into life% and vitality (obv getting some dex still) so once again this build is viable. Boss fights take a little longer but who cares, never dying is AWESOME!

For me Boss fights are not a big deal. The random Champs are reaping me apart.

I don't know if this is from latency or just mechanic of the game but there is a big delay on moving in fights. The toon finished his ability and then start to move which make me dead so often.

I find with the field of view vs larger mobs it can be very difficult to click around a mob instead of on them. Not really sure how they could fix this other then letting us zoom out more

Yea gotta kite like crazy when questing, bosses are always more simple I find (which is stupid).

*Just added a video of the butcher from HELL difficulty. The builds actually getting stronger as I level lol. Im actually kinda hoping this doesn't work for inferno because iv 2 buttoned my way to act 3 HELL with this lol. Would kinda enjoy being 'forced' to try something else. "Then blizzard nerfs mantra to have a 4-6second cooldown" FUCK!

What is important with this build is that u dont focus on the wrong things. I got 31,5k hp and 2,24attacks per second and it is working great as a tank. Just want to support it but dont want to OP declare it.

Btw im playing in inferno.

btw, u wont show anything with soloing stuff untill inferno. Everything is easy until inferno. I actually gimped myself with mf gear to get a third of my health when going through the difficulties. As a monk everything is easy untill inferno (or most things, some blue/yellow packs are riddiculous)

I really dont think its OP. What I mean is its kinda OP to 1 button mash your way through more then half the game. 2/3/4 man groups you will HAVE to focus this build WAY more. This build is VERY gear dependent.

Created my own Monk to try this out, I stand corrected with IAS, and definitely think bosses become easier, everything becomes easier, but the "options" are more limited. Of course you got other keys, but even I am playing this way due to the IAS. I just want to know what should be the cap for IAS.

Yea after getting resistances up a bit build seems partially viable for Inferno.

I'm getting out of HELL difficult with some different build but the idea is kind of similar. Whatever I have extra/full spirit I spam my aura. The difference is I'm constantly using dodge aura with + armor rune. For some champs I'm switching to healing aura with resistance rune.

Back to the topic the OP from attack speed is coming from the posibility to keep your spirit at max and spam other abilityes at every cd. But consider a fight where you hardly go to mele range...no attack = no spirit. Again with right skills you can go hit couple of times and move back. Attack speed is helping a lot here but it's not so OP you don;t have to stack tons of it (Here I can ask if there is kind of cap for this???). At higher difficult you need armote/resistance/HP and here you haev to sacrifice this attack speed for other stats.

Original post updated with a video detailing everything needed for my build (stats/spells/runes) for a full run of HELL difficulty. Video also shows the killing of diablo in HELL mode ;) Time for me to gear up for inferno. Enjoy and good hunting!
