Consider this build: http://us.battle.net...ijUe!eUY!ZaYZZc
None of the skills are runed to generate mana, but with Rush of Essence, they will generate 125% of their mana for 10 seconds after I cast them. Since all of my skills would be giving me more mana than I'm spending, would that mean I would have unlimited mana?
I guess a big factor would be if the effect stacks or not. If I rapidly cast Spirit Barrage 3 times, will I be generating 375% of it's cost for at least a few seconds?
Is unlimited mana possible?

hmm interesting. We can try this for sure when game comes but if u focus to gain mana u loose stats for extra dmg. Need to be more balance with your builds.

One thing I like about this build is since I have RoE, I can rune all my skills for damage instead of having to use one for mana regen.

I'm pretty sure you posted this build somewhere else. Long story short, no damage and lack of CC causes you to die after a certain point. Thus you aren't useful to a party or to yourself.

Considering the long time of evolving that game, I don't think that this can happen at the beginning. Maybe later when you are in Inferno and try the endgame content such problems might occur.
Nevertheless I don't think that this build offers such opportunities. Moreover you have to be attractive for a group with your builds cause this game is orientated in a group of players.

Guess you could do that but it would be pointless for groups as u wouldn't be much help at all lol.

and if you can spam the spells heavenly i think your going to get out of mana ( at some point ) but then regenerate the mana right back
I gonna post another " Endless Mana " build ( it is rushed so ... )

Yes, it is possible. Blizzard has said so. But it comes at the cost of damage!

his mana does regen ridiculously but i doubt that he will have unlimited but very high amounts. The witch Doctor will be a new fun character to try out.

the mana regen is fast as hell if you got a vodoo doll or something with alot of mana regen you will be able to cast spells all night long
=)

It is possible imo, there are special items which boosts your mana reg. as well.

I personally think that it wont pan out as well as one could hope. Also the damage that will be done will be greatly impacted. You have to ask yourself, would you rather be able to finish off an enemy or enemies quickly and then recuperate...or have battles that are a bit more drawn out but you can move on right after.
So I guess my point is that this build will hold interest for a few people and others wont like it. The one thing I feel 100% about is that it will not work for multiplayer scenarios. A group is going to have to take a bit of recovery time and will not be pleased if you aren't using that time effectivly with weaker damage than them.

Is mana ever really a huge issue with people at the moment? I've watched a few streams where people seem to think they can cast almost non-stop. I know this is beta and only a microscopic part of the full game but do you see mana being an issue in the later game?

You're not doing much but relying on other players with that build

Patch 13 has affected in many ways. First let me start by saying pre-patch 13 we had more mana and a higher mana regen. I'm not sure if this was just for the beta or not. Post patch 13 we have less mana, and less mana regen. Another thing to remember is that in D3 we have a higher mana pool based on % or level and a lower mana regen based on a flat number.

It must have been pretty OP because they just nerfed Rush of Essence in the new skill calculator. It went from returning 125% mana to returning 30% mana. I'll probably still try something like this, but I won't mind if it doesn't work. My main plan for a WD is a summoner build.

I would rather have to rest between fights every so often to be able to slaughter everything in my path than have low DPS but never run out of mana. Slow and steady might "win" in the end but that's just no fun. Balls to the wall is where it's at.
