Would anyone else be interested in a mode like this? I know I would.

Not in this game, no, there are enough DotA games so far :) Old DotA, DotA 2, HoN and LoL as far as I know. Also remember Blizzard saying something about Blizzard DotA, but I'm not sure if that was a joke. Looking forward to it if it wasn't :)

Yeah, don't really see it working with Diablo's game style. Dota is a great game in itself, but rather you have more "simple" different PvP modes in DIII, like domination of bases etc.

Yes, the Blizzard Dota is in the works, it will be out this year, i think this was said at the anual conference call.

Also, there will be all the characters from Diablo 3, at least the main 5 chars ;)

Can't wait! in the meantime i go play Dota2beta :)

They have awesome games like League of Legends, Heroes of Newerth, Dota 2, and most recently, Blizzard DOTA for StarCraft 2 if you're interested in Dota-style gameplay. Dota-style gameplay does not fit the core design philosophy for Diablo 3, so it's very unlikely Blizzard would ever implement a feature like this given their very long wish list of to-do projects.

Dota would not work in a Diablo 3 gameplay, void to a fail imo. You already have several Dota out.

DotA don't feet well with Diablo gameplay. Plus there will be Blizzard DOTA and don't think they will try to implement that in D3.

Dota is really more like WC3, and should stay there! D3 is not really a strategy game, and DOTA is just a perfectly balanced game between RPG and strategy. How much i like DOTA, i hope that it stays away from D3.

Dota is not really more like WC3. It is a WC3 map.

Not really, I don't really want D3 to be like other games.  Please just make it be like Diablo.
