will be a Rank sis. in D3 calculate a oponent with the same lvl as you and similar gear ? just whith presing a button ?

I Hope there will be a rank system. If there is PvP ladder ranks system is much.

We also plan to integrate Battle.net’s matchmaking system, a progression-based ranking system, and more."

So yes, i think we will have something similar to SC2, WoW, matchmaking system, which works quite well btw.

There should be some type of ranking system implemented but they will need to make sure that it serves its purpose. Numerous times in world of warcraft arenas you would be matched against people of a similar rank and you would just get raped.

I dont think blizzard have any plan for making diablo 3 PvP competitive and balance it.

Blizzard already trying to balance Starcraft 2 since game released but still...

I know there is an internal ranking.. really wish there was some sorta public ranking though would love to see all the kills/deaths ive gotten wins/losses etc... We can only hope..  But if they dont it will still be very fun

diablo was never a PvP heavy game in my opinion. at least not for me.. and i agree that with SC2 balances still at hand, i doubt the focus will be on PvP balancing ^^

Maybe they will add it in an expansion but I highly doubt it's going to be in the release as they don't care about PvP all that much.

If you wanna be a top 10 or 100 player you are not casual... Not everything can be achieved by casuals. If casuals could do everything there would be no reason to play hardcore

They will certanly do a rank system. But I doubt they will focus on pvp b4 the release.

Pretty excited to see the pvp (even though they aren't balancing it, etc.) I still hope it doesn't feel thrown in. I'd like to see a good amount of time invested into it and not have it feel tossed in. That said don't delay D3 anymore to work on it. If anything take the time to make it good then patch it in at a later date

I hope there is a pvp ranking system but that there is more to it than just wins vs. loses.  They need to create a BCS like formula that takes into consideration strength of opponents.
