I hope fun and some level of balance can come from it. Despite what people say, WoW has had some of the best tuned pvp in an MMO for a while. The reason was it's itemization wasn't overly complicated.
With this games item structure, I am not quite sure how well it will work out, Everquest 2 was mostly PVE and that games PVP was beyond terrible, the more complicated the choices are in the game, the more likely balance is right out the window.
That even had PVP item stats(I think it was 25% reduction across the boards for all calculations) and that guy that is just barely in your level range could kill you and a friend if he was that determined to stack things.
