About Me
I've enjoyed the Diablo franchise ever since D1, and have dedicated many (more than I should have) hours to both D1, D2, and LoD. In D1, the events that stand out to me the most are my awesome battle with Messerschmitt to obtain his reaver. That took a great deal of time to obtain, as I was a warrior, and we all know how walking in battles against enemies who teleport, or who walk faster, can be. The second would be the "Halls of the Blind" poem, which sticks in my mind to this day: "I can see what you see not..."
As far as D2 goes, my memories jump back to the 1.06 patch days. At the time, my account name actually had a '~' in it, which was forbidden after the 1.6 patch. I also remember finding my first SoJ in act 4, normal. The experience was humbling, as I was merely killing normal monsters with a friend, and a unique ring happened to drop. I had no idea what an SoJ was at the time, but now I know how rare of a drop that actually was. The second would be all that I did to acquire an "Ith Bow." As far as I remember, the prices for such bows were pretty hefty, and as a teen, the only way I could acquire any items in D2 were to find them or trade for them. Fortunately, I came across a collector who was willing to trade me his Ith Bow for an early version of the light sabre. The joy I felt that day was overwhelming.
As I get older, I still have an undenying passion for the Diablo franchise. My interest in console and PC games has faded, but I will always come back to play the most entertaining epic I know - Diablo.
