D2 Ladder Reset Soon, Monster Damage & Blue Posts

Diablo 2 Ladder Reset

Diablo 2 is getting another ladder reset on Tuesday, November 6th.

Official Blizzard Quote (Source)
It’s that time again! On the morning of Tuesday, November 6, we’ll be conducting maintenance in order to reset the Diablo II ladder. We anticipate the realms could be down for up to six hours, and during that time all existing ladder characters will be converted to non-ladder. All characters and items being converted to non-ladder will remain intact, but once converted these characters will no longer have access to ladder content such as creating ladder-only rune words.

This ladder reset, like all those before it, creates a clean slate where all ladder characters begin at level 1 with no previous items to help them. To participate, simply wait until the Diablo II realms return to service on November 6, log in to Battle.net, and tick the “Ladder Character” checkbox when creating a new character. You can track ladder character leveling progress by clicking on the Ladder button from the main Diablo II in-game Battle.net interface.

Monster Damage Buff?

A lot of users have been reporting that the damage done by monsters in Inferno have been raised since the patch on Tuesday, claiming it was a stealth buff / bug. Lylirra puts a stop to those rumors by letting us know the results of what internal testing has found.

Hey all!

I just wanted to thank everyone for describing their experiences and reporting to us a possible issue with monster damage when Monster Power is activated. We really appreciate it when you let us know of potential problems affecting the game. /highfive

We've investigated the matter thoroughly, however, and have verified that scaling bonuses to monster damage at each level of MP have not changed, and that they are currently using the correct values. Those values are detailed in full in this post. For reference, we've not only checked the actual data but have run several tests both in an internal test environment and in the live game, and everything checks out as it should.

We'll continue to monitor this thread and your reports over the weekend and will follow-up if needed. As a reminder, though, if you believe you may have encountered a bug while playing, please be sure to post in the Bug Report forum so that our QA team can investigate.

A warning to everybody who uses the Auction House: items are no longer waiting the 5 minutes to be shown on the Auction House searches. There is a bug in the game that makes it so they show up instantly, so double check your listing prices before posting them! If you accidentally post something too low, it might be bought out before you have a chance to cancel it!

We just logged a bug for this and sent it up to the developers. The Auction House should not be allowing searches and bids/buyouts on items before the 5 minute timer is up.

Maghda currently has an issue with a sound file causing it to produce repeated errors. So if you've noticed a graphical decline while fighting against her, don't worry, it's not your computer.

Hey guys,

Thanks for your reports. This bug actually is not related to your computers, but a bug within the Maghda arena. There is a specific sound file that is producing an error over and over, spamming the client with this error message. This is only happening in the Maghda arena, and will be fixed in an upcoming patch.

I'll update the Known Issues as well now that I know the cause of this. dreamboard. collage maker.
